The LIFE Event (LPGA Pros in the Fight to Eradicate Breast Cancer) mission is to continue to help eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease, while reaching out to a younger generation of women and providing them with information about the importance of early detection and healthy breast care practices.
For more than a decade, The Val Skinner Foundation has promoted these initiatives.
The 2012 LIFE Event will be held Monday, June 11 at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey. The twelfth annual pro-am will feature some of the most elite women golfers in the world from the LPGA. The LIFE Event, still noted as one of the biggest single-day golf event fundraisers for breast cancer initiatives, has raised nearly $8 million for breast cancer research, awareness and prevention programs since its inception in 2000.
Traditionally hosting one of the strongest LPGA pro-am fields, the 2012 LIFE Event is expected to once again include the top names in women’s golf, including LPGA greats and World Golf Hall of Fame members.
